Ted

Ted is a handsome boy with a gentle soul and a thoughtful approach to life. While he's understandably worried by new situations and people, there are glimpses of the cat he could become in the right home, especially when food is involved! Ted has shown some interest in human company, but for now he prefers to keep a respectful distance, watching the world from the safety of his favourite hiding spots as he takes everything in.

Ted is looking for a quiet, predictable home where he can settle at his own pace. He would greatly benefit from having a dedicated settling room when he first arrives, giving him a secure space to decompress and build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. He enjoys having safe places to retreat to and is happiest when he can observe new people and routines from afar while he works things out for himself. His adopters will need to be patient and understanding, allowing Ted to take the lead when it comes to building trust and celebrating the small but meaningful milestones along the way.

A cat flap would be a huge advantage for Ted, giving him the freedom to come and go as he pleases once fully settled. Having the choice to explore the outdoors and return to the comfort of home whenever he wishes will help him feel safe and in control of his environment. With time, patience and plenty of understanding, Ted has every chance of blossoming into a wonderful companion, and there is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a cat who chooses to let you into his world.
