Alongside two other managers, you will bring together veterinary and the best animal care expertise to ensure the best outcomes for every cat and dog that comes into our care.
Day to day you’ll ensure the highest standards of animal welfare throughout our operations. You’ll manage and inspire your team to achieve beyond their objectives and you’ll support your colleagues to ensure the smooth throughput of animals, from intake to rehoming.

Want to work with rescue animals to care for them, and help them find a new family? We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome over 500 animals every year, and it wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated Animal Care team making sure that, whilst they are here, they have the best possible life.
Bath Cats & Dogs Home is one of the busiest rescues in the south-west, and we strive to have the best in animal welfare. We have in-house behaviour and veterinary teams who look at nutrition, play, health and environmental enrichment to make our animals feel safe and cared for.
There are 20 like-minded people in our Animal Care team, and they are a hard-working and supportive family.
As one of our animal carers, you'll be the one who get to know our rescue animals the best, but the role encompasses much more than feeding and exercising.
You will have the discipline of completing routine cleaning and care to a high standard as well as the flexibility to work with the behaviour and veterinary teams to ensure every animal follows their own individual care plan.
You will have proven animal care experience ideally coupled with appropriate qualifications. Our animals come from a wide variety of backgrounds so you will have the patience to make sure they feel comfortable and secure.

In this rewarding role, you’ll support the Animal Services Manager in coordinating the intake and departure of animals, acting as a point of contact for dog wardens, RSPCA officers, and the public.
You will need to deliver a high standard of professionalism and customer service and demonstrate empathy in challenging situations.

We’re looking for a creative Individual Giving Assistant to support this vital area of our fundraising. You will help deliver a portfolio spanning regular giving, cash appeals, in-memory giving, legacy marketing, raffles and lotteries, with a strong and committed supporter base, you’ll help develop compelling campaigns that connect with supporters and grow and expand our supporter base.
This is a pivotal role in a collaborative, supportive team – and a chance to grow and develop with us as we tell our story, steward our donors, and secure the future of our work.
As the Individual Giving Assistant you will:
• Deliver multi-channel fundraising campaigns and appeals
• Develop ideas and creative for marketing, and track and evaluate the impact of campaigns
• Be a first point of contact for Bath Cats and Dogs Home’s donors and fundraisers, ensuring they receive first class care and stewardship.
This is an exciting time to join us. We’ve just completed a major redevelopment of our main building – improving our Vet Suite, Animal Intake, and Rehoming rooms - and we’re working in brand new, open plan offices. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to work with colleagues across the charity, meet the cats and dogs in our care, and see firsthand the difference your role makes.
