She’s come a long way in her confidence journey, but she’s still a shy girl who needs time, space, and patience to settle into a new home. Venus is looking for a home with her own garden to aid her housetraining and provide a safe space for exercise. Venus would be best suited in a quiet, adult-only home or one with calm older teenagers.
Although Venus is initially wary of new people, her gentle heart shines through once she feels safe. With her progress she has also started to build bonds with a few volunteers and now enjoys spending quiet time with them – especially if there are toys involved! She’s affectionate in her own way, often choosing to sit close or lean into a gentle grooming session. She adores soft toys and loves to throw them around and entertain herself – it’s a joy to watch her playful side come to life!
Venus prefers quiet walking routes and avoids busy or unpredictable environments. She’s more relaxed when walking with other sighthounds and has made great progress walking alongside them. With breeds she doesn’t know, she can be worried and may keep her distance or back away. Venus is looking for adopters who see beyond her initial shyness and are willing to go at her pace. In return, you’ll get the reward of watching a gentle dog blossom in her own time – and maybe even be greeted with a soft toy or two.
