Joseph

Joseph is a truly lovely boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves people and is very affectionate – one of his favourite things is rolling over for fuss and slinking himself onto your lap.

Joseph will need time being left built up gradually in his new home, but he is generally happy to entertain himself, especially when soft toys are involved. Joseph will need his own secure garden, where he can enjoy safe, off-lead time to relax, play, and burn off energy, which will be an important part of helping him settle and thrive.
Out and about, Joseph would currently suit quieter walking areas, but he is extremely food-motivated and will work for any treat, which makes him very trainable and responsive to guidance. He does show a natural interest in wildlife, so continued lead management and positive training will help him make good choices when out and about.

Joseph’s social skills can continue to develop in a home and with ongoing exposure and good experiences, his confidence around other dogs is likely to improve. At this stage, he could live with a calm female dog. With time, the right temperament match, and careful introductions, he may be able to build up to meeting male dogs gradually.
Joseph would be suitable for a home with children aged 12+, provided they are used to larger, bouncy dogs. Overall, Joseph is a loving, comical, and affectionate companion who loves everyone he meets and will make a wonderful addition to the right home.
