Valerie

Valerie is a gentle and affectionate lady who has come a long way since arriving with us. Likely having never experienced the comforts of a home before, she’s now discovering how lovely sofas and cuddles can be, and she adores spending quiet time with her carers. Valerie is looking for a calm home where she can continue to grow in confidence at her own pace. She can be a little unsure in busy environments and would appreciate any time left alone to be built up gradually. A secure garden is essential to support her ongoing housetraining and give her safe off-lead time for zoomies. Once she’s bonded, Valerie shows her affectionate side—snuggling up close, leaning in for fuss, and happily relaxing in the company of people she trusts.
On walks, Valerie is polite and manageable on the lead and gains confidence walking with other calm dogs so may enjoy the occasional visit or shared walk with a quieter canine friend, though she’s best rehomed as the only dog. Valerie will need understanding adopters willing to guide her through basic training and support her as she adapts to life indoors. She cannot live with cats due to her high prey drive and a watchful eye around food, as she can be a little cheeky when treats are involved! With time, patience, and love, Valerie will make a wonderful, loyal companion who thrives in a peaceful and reassuring home.
