Rupert

Rupert is a lively, affectionate terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Like many “working-type” terriers, he’s clever, energetic, and thrives when he has the right outlets for both his brain and body. A secure private garden is essential for Rupert, as he’s a clever terrier who enjoys off-lead time and is best suited in a home with no neighbouring gardens or public footpaths directly bordering the garden (unless securely managed).

In the home, Rupert settles well and enjoys relaxing on the sofa or a cosy spot after he’s had an outlet for his energy. He’s very people-friendly and loves close contact. Rupert is a bright boy who already knows some basic training and is highly food motivated, making him enjoyable to work with. Rupert benefits from both physical exercise and mental enrichment, and while he enjoys his walks, he prefers quieter areas as he can be reactive to other dogs. Although he cannot live with other dogs, he does have the potential to build positive relationships with calm dogs over time with careful introductions.

Rupert is a fun, loving, and characterful little boy looking for adopters who understand his terrier nature and are willing to continue his training, but in return he offers plenty of affection, entertainment, and loyalty.

More details about Rupert

Rupert enjoys a calm, quieter lifestyle and prefers peaceful walks away from busy areas. While other dogs can sometimes overwhelm him, he can interact with some and is happy to wear a muzzle as a precaution.

Rupert cannot be rehomed to certain areas in or around Bristol.
