Rupert

Rupert is a lively and characterful terrier who is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly settle and show his affectionate side. This handsome boy enjoys curling up on the sofa, leaning in for fuss, or even perching on the back of a chair to watch the world go by. He forms strong bonds with his people and thrives on companionship, so he’ll be happiest in a home where he isn’t left for long periods and where any time alone can be introduced gradually. Rupert would suit an experienced, structured household that understands terrier traits and can help him feel safe and secure. Once settled, he is incredibly loving and enjoys close contact, happily sitting on laps or rolling over for attention. Rupert is also playful and engaging, especially enjoying interactive games like tug, and he responds well to food-based training, already knowing some basic cues. Out and about, Rupert prefers a quieter lifestyle. He finds busy walking environments and other dogs quite overwhelming, so he will need peaceful walking locations and careful management. As the only pet in the home, Rupert will benefit from a consistent routine and ongoing positive socialisation at his own pace. With the right support, he has great potential to build confidence and become a wonderfully loyal and entertaining companion.
