Timmy

Timmy is a sensitive and sweet boy who’s looking for a calm, experienced home where he can come out of his shell in his own time. At just over two years old, Timmy has already shown he can be a loving companion once he feels safe — he just needs the right person to help him feel that way again. In his previous home, Timmy was affectionate and gentle. He would greet his owners at the door and enjoyed sitting on laps when he felt secure. He could be vocal and engaging, forming a quiet but special bond with his people. Sadly, the cattery environment has been very overwhelming for Timmy, and he is currently very nervous of new people and hides for most of the day. However, he will offer slow blinks — a small but meaningful sign that his trust is still there, waiting to be rebuilt. Timmy is looking for an experienced, adult-only home where he can settle in at his own pace. He will need an enclosed spare room to start with, a safe space where he can get used to his new environment without being overwhelmed. It’s important that he is not given access to the rest of the home until he is confidently moving around his safe room with his new owner present. Rushing this step could cause him to withdraw further, so a calm, patient approach is essential. He will need someone who understands that building confidence takes time, and that the first weeks may be quiet and slow. However, for someone who can offer him space, consistency, and kindness, Timmy has the potential to grow into a loyal and affectionate companion once more.

More details about Timmy

To stop Timmy wandering back to his old home, he cannot be rehomed in parts of Chippenham. He also has no road sense so will need to be rehomed away from any busy roads.
