This little Jack Russell is a characterful, cheeky chap with a big personality! Rolo has likely never experienced a typical home before, so he’s looking for patient adopters who can show him the ropes. He loves being close to his people, so close he’ll try to climb into your lap and cover you in kisses. But he can also be a sensitive soul who worries about meeting new visitors, busy environments, and formal handling.
Rolo would suit a quieter home and someone around for most of the day, as he can find being left alone quite distressing. On walks he’s an enthusiastic explorer who may pull and can be reactive to dogs, traffic, or fast movement, so he’ll need calm walking spots and ongoing training (and he can’t be let off lead just yet due to his prey drive). A secure garden is a must for safe zoomies and to support his housetraining. While toys aren’t really his thing at the moment, he adores following his carers around with a waggy tail and settles quickly once reassured. He’d be happiest as the only pet for now, with the potential to build positive dog friendships over time. With understanding, reassurance, and plenty of tasty treats, this affectionate little lad will make a devoted and entertaining companion.
