Poppadom

Poppadom is a sweet, independent girl who likes to do things on her own terms. She needs time and space to settle, and once she feels safe she’ll choose when to come over for affection. She enjoys gentle fuss around her face and can be very loving with her chosen people, but she doesn’t enjoy being handled or rushed and needs humans who can read her signals and let her take the lead. She’s best suited to a quiet, predictable home where she can relax without too much going on. Poppadom would need to be the only pet, as she hasn’t lived with other animals and prefers her own space. She would benefit from a settling room to help her adjust, plenty of hiding spots, and interactive play like teaser or fishing rod toys. She can be left during the day and has no medical concerns, but does need a large, high-sided litter tray and a calm environment to feel secure. Poppadom is not suited to an indoor-only lifestyle, as she previously struggled with frustration, so a home with safe outdoor access once she’s fully settled would help her thrive. She is considered to have no road sense and cannot use a cat flap, so careful management will be important. In the right home, with patience and understanding, Poppadom will make a rewarding companion who quietly forms a strong bond with her people.
