Poppy

Poppy is a sensitive and shy girl. She can be quite worried by new surroundings, so she’ll need a calm, quiet home where she can take things at her own pace and build her confidence. With patience, understanding, and a little kindness, Poppy has every chance to blossom into a lovely companion.

She would really benefit from having a dedicated “safe space” such as a spare room, where she can settle in without feeling overwhelmed. From there, she can begin to explore and grow in confidence in her own time.

Although she’s nervous, Poppy does enjoy having company nearby and would prefer a home where someone is around for most of the day. Knowing she’s not alone will help her feel more secure as she adjusts. She could be considered for an indoor-only home, as long as she has plenty of companionship and enrichment to keep her feeling safe and engaged.

More details about Poppy

Poppy also came into our care with some injured paw pads. She’s currently on pain relief and healing well, but her paws will need to be monitored as she continues her recovery in her new home. To prevent her from wandering back to her previous home, Poppy cannot be rehomed to parts of Bristol area.
