Misty is finding cattery life quite overwhelming and has been understandably worried since arriving with us. Because of this, we haven't yet seen the friendly, affectionate side of his personality that his previous owners described. In his former home, Misty was reported to be a loving companion who enjoyed fuss, attention, and cuddles.
Misty will need a calm, patient adopter who understands that he is likely to take some time to settle into a new environment. He would benefit from having his own quiet room when he first arrives home, allowing him to adjust at his own pace before being given access to the rest of the house. Once he feels safe and secure, Misty may enjoy having someone around for much of the day to keep him company.
He previously had access to a garden and enjoyed exploring outdoors, although he tended to stay close to home rather than wandering far. As he has little road awareness, he should be rehomed to an area away from busy or fast-moving roads, with access to a safe garden where he can continue to enjoy the outdoors.
With time, patience, and understanding, we are confident that Misty's affectionate nature will shine through again, and he will make a wonderful companion.
