Meet Harold- A gentle soul who has made incredible progress since arriving in our care. Initially very shut down and nervous, he’s slowly begun to show his sweet personality and is learning to trust again—thanks to a consistent routine and gentle, patient carers.
Recently, Harold has started to enjoy sitting in the sun and exploring more open spaces in his environment. He now actively comes out for treats—especially if there’s chicken involved! With the carer he trusts, he will walk around confidently, accept hand feeding, and has even begun sitting on her lap. These are huge milestones that show the potential Harold has when he feels safe and loved.
Harold is looking for a quiet, calm home without too much noise or activity with a patient, understanding adopter willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle and build trust.
Harold will need an enclosed spare room for his initial settling-in period. Harold should remain in this safe space until he is moving around comfortably with his new owner present. Rushing this process may cause setbacks in his progress. Harold has shown that, in the right environment, he can form a close bond with his person. With time, he may even become a lap cat again—but he’ll need someone who is happy to let him go at his own pace. If you’re looking for a quiet companion and are happy to let Harold come out of his shell in his own time, he could be the perfect match for you.
More details about Harold
Harold previously came from a quiet residential area, so should have some road sense.
To stop them wandering back to their old area, they cannot be rehomed to certain areas of Brinkworth.
