Blu

Blu is a bright, affectionate dog who builds strong bonds with his people—but on his own terms. While he can enjoy fuss, he’s easily overwhelmed by too much attention and prefers affection when he’s ready for it. He’s very vocal and will often express himself freely! He enjoys most toys and will happily play both interactively and independently. Blu was very connected to his owners in his previous home, often following them from room to room, even during food preparation. He’ll need adopters who can provide reassurance and company while helping him build confidence being left alone. He will need time alone to be introduced very gradually, beginning with short periods while his new family is still in the house but in another room. Previously housetrained, Blu would wait by the back door when he needed to go out. However he will need some support and further routine as he re-establishes good habits in a new home. A secure garden is essential to help with housetraining and provide safe, off-lead time. Blu is unlikely to cope with a neighbouring dog which was gathered in his previous home. So a home without immediate neighbouring dogs would suit him best. He’ll also need quiet walking areas where space can be created as needed to help him feel comfortable. If you’re patient, understanding, and can offer a calm home with a secure garden, Blu will reward you with loyalty, character, and companionship.
