Ruby

Ruby is a sweet, affectionate cat who’s looking for a calm, loving forever home. She adores human company and would love to live with someone who’s around most of the time — she’ll even come to greet you when you arrive home! She’s usually quick to say hello and ask for a fuss, but if things are a bit too noisy or busy, she can be a little shy at first. When Ruby first settles in, she may spend a few days tucked away in her cozy “hidey fort,” but her gentle curiosity means she’ll soon venture out, especially if you sit quietly nearby and let her come to you in her own time. Ruby could happily live in a somewhat busy home, especially with respectful children or adults who understand that she sometimes needs a little space. She gets on well with other animals too – she could live with a calm, cat-social dog or cat, but at her age, she’s not interested in any rough and tumble! Ruby is affectionate and enjoys a gentle fuss, purring contentedly when she's relaxed. She’s also independent and doesn’t demand constant attention – the perfect balance of companion and free spirit. While she hasn’t shown herself to be a lap cat in the cattery, she was in her previous home, so with time and trust, she may well return to those cozy cuddles. If you're looking for a gentle, low-maintenance friend with a loving heart, Ruby could be the one to make your house a home. She could be rehomed to a semi-residential area, as she has some road sense. Ruby cannot be rehomed to certain areas of Swindon. If you're looking for a gentle, low-maintenance friend with a loving heart, Ruby could be the one to make your house a home.
