Raisin

Raisin is a sensitive and affectionate boy who is looking for a calm, experienced home where he can continue to build his confidence. Having previously lived in a home, he enjoys the comforts of domestic life, settling on the sofa, seeking out human companionship, and playing with his favourite toys. While he can be initially shy and wary, especially with new people, Raisin forms strong bonds and becomes a loving, cuddly companion once he feels safe.

Raisin would thrive in a quiet, structured environment with adopters who understand anxious dogs and are happy to go at his pace. He can find the outside world overwhelming at times, particularly busy areas, traffic, and other dogs, so he’ll need patient support and gentle guidance on walks. He is best suited to quieter walking routes.

Raisin can be protective over food and high-value items, so he will need ongoing management and understanding in this area. He also finds being left alone difficult, so any time spent alone will need to be built up gradually. He's a playful boy who enjoys balls and soft toys and settles quickly after play. He already knows some basic training, is very food motivated, and has lots of potential to learn with the right guidance.

Meeting and greeting other dogs

Meeting and greeting other dogs

Most dogs want to meet others and it is important for them to have the opportunity to display their natural social behaviours and improve their doggie greetings.
