Meet Pearl- A graceful and affectionate Saluki with a soft, sensitive nature and a love for human company. She enjoys gentle affection and will happily soak up attention from her people, but she’s also content to potter around independently when the mood strikes.
She walks beautifully on the lead, staying calm and composed even when she’s feeling a little unsure. Pearl can be easily spooked by certain sights and sounds—especially traffic or unexpected noises in the trees—but she handles these moments with quiet composure when out walking and would benefit from quieter walking routes in her new home.
Pearl can be selective meeting dogs on her walks, but if the other dog is calm and well-socialized, Pearl can settle and enjoys walking alongside them. She may also enjoy walks with familiar visiting dog friends in the future. With people, Pearl is wonderfully friendly and thrives on affection. Pearl is still working on her housetraining, so patience and consistency will be key as she settles into a new routine. If you're looking for a loyal, sensitive, and loving companion, Pearl could be the perfect addition to your family.
Most dogs want to meet others and it is important for them to have the opportunity to display their natural social behaviours and improve their doggie greetings.
