Meowcho Man will take time to settle into a new home, but will be a very rewarding companion for the right person. He loves to play and has gained a lot of confidence with people, but this took a long time in the foster home so needs an adopter who can dedicate time to his slow recovery.
Meowcho has has a difficult start in life and didn't have the positive interactions with people at a young age that teach cats that people are friends. Because of this, Meowcho is slowly learning the benefit of human friendships; food, treats and, most importantly, play time!
When he first arrived in our care, Meowcho was very scared and defensive, not sure what us scary two-legged creatures were going to do to him. As he has settled into his foster home, we've gotten to see him relax and he's reminded us that, despite all he's been through, he's just a big kitten really! He loves to play, and his fosterer can hear him at all hours knocking around ping pong balls and other small toys. He has even started sitting on the window sill and watching the world outside, which for a cat who used to hiss if we lifted the blanket covering his hiding spot, is fantastic progress!
The right home for Meowcho will be with someone who is confident and savvy enough with cats to put up with him sounding a little scary at times, and who has the patience to wait for him to reveal that he's really a big softie.
His fosterer says "Now that he's had plenty of time to settle in, Meowcho is showing is true colours as a playful and chatty boy. You may not be able to give him cuddles and kisses, but he's still a lovely cat to have around and he loves hanging out with my other cat. ".
To avoid him straying to his previous home, he cannot be rehomed to some areas around Bath.
