Jack is a 13-year-old tabby and white gentleman with a huge heart and a lot of love to give. He’s a friendly, confident cat who absolutely adores human company and is looking for a home where he can enjoy lots of attention and companionship. If you're looking for a loyal lap cat who will greet you at the door and follow you around the house, Jack might just be the perfect fit.
From the moment he arrived, Jack has been outgoing and affectionate. He loves fuss and will happily climb onto your lap the moment you sit down. He enjoys being around people and quickly bonds with new faces. His ideal home would be one where someone is around most of the time, as he thrives on interaction and doesn't like being left alone for too long.
Jack can be a bit vocal when he wants your attention, and if he feels he's not getting enough, he may meow, grab, or nip to keep you close. This seems to be his way of expressing frustration or anxiety when people leave. He displayed similar behaviour in his previous home, so it’s likely a form of separation anxiety. Because of this, Jack would be best suited to a household where his people are often at home, and where his need for affection and interaction can be met consistently.
Jack still enjoys playtime, especially with plastic balls and wand toys. He also used scratching posts and cardboard boxes in his previous home, though he sometimes explored the furniture too—so providing plenty of scratching options will be important in his new home. He could settle into most home environments, including somewhat busy households, and while he might be a little timid at first, he tends to gain confidence quickly.
In summary, Jack is a loving, chatty, and affectionate cat who just wants to be close to his people. If you’re home often and looking for a devoted lap cat with a big personality, Jack could be your perfect companion.
Please be aware Jack is currently recovering from Cat flu, so is looking to be the only cat in the home. The Rehoming team will also be able to discuss this in more detail whilst discussing the lovely little boy Jack.
