Champ

Champ is an affectionate little lad who thrives on human company and would love nothing more than to curl up next to you after a play session with his favourite soft toys. He’s especially fond of a game of tug and has a charming personality that’s sure to win you over in no time. While Champ has many wonderful qualities, he’s still learning about the world and will need some guidance with housetraining. He can be a little unreliable when toileting on lead, so a secure garden where he can have some off-lead time is essential to help him feel more comfortable and confident. Out on walks, Champ is generally manageable on the lead, though he occasionally stops and refuses to move – likely when he’s feeling unsure about his surroundings. With patience and encouragement, he’s learning that the outside world isn’t so scary. He is also a little wary of grooming, but with gentle handling, he does settle and will need semi-regular sessions to keep his wiry coat in good condition. Socially, Champ is curious about other dogs but appears to be under-socialised. He greets others in a friendly but cautious way and can walk nicely side by side with canine companions. However, he will benefit from ongoing management and positive reinforcement to help him develop polite behaviours around other dogs. Champ is a sweet, sensitive boy looking for a calm and supportive home that can help him grow in confidence. With time, understanding, and lots of love, he’s sure to become a loyal and joyful companion.
