Bluebell is an affectionate and people-focused little lady who enjoys being around her humans and soaking up plenty of fuss. However, she can occasionally become a little unsure after initial interaction, so she will benefit from patient adopters who can read her body language and give her reassurance when needed.
In the home, Bluebell will need time to adjust to home life and being left, so this should be built up gradually to help her feel secure. She may benefit from crate training to provide her with a safe and comfortable space of her own. She would also really enjoy access to a secure garden where she can have some off-lead time to explore and relax.
On walks, Bluebell generally walks nicely, though she can show typical Spaniel behaviour by following her nose wherever it leads her! She would be best suited to quieter walking areas or locations where space can be created from other dogs, as she is not currently comfortable around them. While confidence building and carefully managed parallel walks with a calm, quiet and non-intrusive dog may, over time, help her to form positive associations, however this cannot be guaranteed.
Due to her current feelings around other dogs, Bluebell will need to be the only dog in the home and is not suitable to have visiting dogs at this stage. With the right support, patience and understanding, Bluebell is a loving and loyal companion who will thrive in a calm environment where her confidence can continue to grow.
