Dog adoption timeline
What to expect in the weeks and months after adopting a dog
Dogs, Adopters, Dog behaviour
Bear is a bright, busy boy with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! This clever lad is used to a home environment and knows the basics like “sit,” but he’s looking for a fresh start in a calmer household, where his boundaries will be respected. Bear previously found busy family life overwhelming, so he’ll thrive with experienced adopters who can provide structure, routine, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He’s an affectionate chap on his own terms and can be great fun, but he does get over-excited easily.
On walks, Bear is happiest in quieter areas and wears a secure harness. Adventures are exciting and he has been known to make his own! Because of this, he’ll need a secure garden (no climbing aids), and must remain on lead. Bear can be vocal and may struggle with being left alone, so any time apart will need to be built up gradually. In the right home, Bear has all the makings of a loyal, entertaining, and devoted companion.
