If you remember the cheeky, clever Jack Russell from The Mask, you’ll already have a good idea of what life with our very own Milo might be like – full of character, charm, and just a touch of mischief.
Milo is a bright, independent boy who likes affection on his own terms. He’s not your typical cuddlebug – but give him the space and respect he needs, and you’ll see flashes of deep loyalty and love shine through. He’s got a bit of that movie-star confidence and can sometimes get overexcited with fuss, occasionally showing his enthusiasm with gentle mouthing. Nothing major, but he's still learning the best ways to show affection!
When it comes to other dogs, Milo prefers to be the star of the show – he can be reactive and needs to be the only dog in the home. He’s not looking to share the spotlight just yet.
Toys? He LOVES them. Just like his on-screen namesake, Milo will do just about anything to get to his favorite toy – including a bit of clever problem-solving and dramatic flair. And if you’ve got treats? Even better! He’s highly food-motivated, which will be a huge help with ongoing training.
Milo may need some help with housetraining, especially as he settles into a new routine, but with patience and consistency, he’ll get there. One thing to be aware of is that he does struggle with separation anxiety, so he’ll need someone who is home most of the time and is committed to slowly building up his confidence when left alone. He’s not ready for solo adventures just yet – he needs his trusty sidekick close by.
The ideal home for Milo is one without other pets or young children, where he can enjoy calm, structured guidance and plenty of playtime. His new humans should be understanding, experienced, and willing to put in the time and work to help him thrive.
So, if you're ready for a loyal, quirky, toy-loving sidekick with a bit of a dramatic streak – Milo’s ready to steal your heart (and possibly your slippers). Just try not to say “Ssssssmokin’!” every time he does something clever – we know it’s hard.
