Betty

Betty is a beautiful gentle giant with a soft heart, an independent spirit, and plenty of love to give to the people she trusts. Like many guardian breeds, she takes her time getting to know new people, but once you've earned her trust, you'll discover an affectionate, loyal companion who loves being close to her favourite humans.

Despite her impressive size, Betty is generally a calm, low-energy girl who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle. She settles well indoors, enjoys spending time in home-style environments, and is more than happy to snooze the day away after a gentle walk. She walks beautifully on lead and is surprisingly manageable for such a large breed, making her a pleasure to take out and about with the right handling.

Betty is looking for an experienced home, ideally with knowledge of guardian breeds, in a quieter location away from busy streets and high foot traffic. While she can find other dogs confusing and overwhelming, she is responsive to her handlers and has shown an ability to disengage and focus on her people. With continued support from experienced owners and potentially a behaviour professional, she may continue to make progress in this area. Betty is looking to be the only pet in the home and is seeking a family with children aged 14+ only. For the right family, Betty promises to be a deeply loyal, affectionate lady and a truly special friend.
