A little bit about us
- Established at the Claverton Down site in 1939, we serve a 650 square mile area across Bath, north east Somerset and parts of Wiltshire.
- Bath Cats and Dogs Home is part of the RSPCA network and works closely with RSPCA Inspectors to care for animals where there are immediate concerns for their welfare.
- For two years running, we have been awarded the highest award for stray dog welfare from the RSPCA.
- We are a full member of the Association of Dogs and Cats Home (ADCH).
- We take in around 700 unwanted or neglected cats and dogs every year, including over 270 stray dogs.
- We have an on-site vet suite, working with Bath Vets, and a dedicated behaviour team.
- Every animal admitted to our care has a veterinary health check, given up to date flea, worm and vaccination treatments and neutered if not already. Each animal has a behavioural assessment and an individual care plan to improve their welfare on site and their chances of adoption.
- Costs per kennel, including facilities, consumables and staff = £276 per week.
- Costs per cattery pod, including facilities, consumables and staff = £131 per week.
