How to donate to our charity shops and online stores

Donating good quality clothes, household bric-a-brac and books really does help! Our bustling charity shops and online eBay and Vinted stores can make use of any good quality items, with all profits going towards animal care at the Home.

What is good quality? If you'd buy it yourself from a shop, then that's perfect!

You can either drop items off to our rehoming centre – there is a donation area near the car park open from 9am-5pm every day - or give them directly to our charity shops.

Make your donations worth 25% more

Bath Cats and Dogs Home can claim Gift Aid tax relief of 25p on every pound we sell from your donations - even those you have given in the past four years! 

That means, if we sell your donated t-shirt for £5, we get the £5 from the buyer plus £1.25 from the government - at no cost to you. You just need to be a UK tax payer, fill out this short form and then put your name and postcode with your donations so we can match them up.

How to donate pet items to our Bath rehoming centre

If you'd like to donate something for our cats and dogs, you can check our Amazon Wishlist to see what we need. If you're purchasing something new, you can get Amazon to deliver straight to us by buying via the link below.

Bedding, towels and beds
We are currently full. We recently had a spring clear out, clean up and tidy and we're really pleased to say we're fully stocked for all items such as beds, towels, blankets, carriers and crates.

We won't be accepting any donations for these at the moment as we're stuffed full and have nowhere to put everything, but we'll let you know on social media and our Amazon Wishlist when we do need something.

Pet items
We are currently well-stocked for pet items, but you'll find some requests on our Amazon Wishlist.

Pet treats
We accept all treats except for rawhide chews. We use 'squeezy cheese' for muzzle training and always welcome donations of this. 

Pet food
Food nutrition is very important to an animal's health and behaviour, so we have a set diet for all our animals. We have arranged trade deals to get the most for our money when we buy food in, so the best way to help us feed our animals is to donate money. However, you will find some requests on our Amazon Wishlist.

Any pet food donations we're unable to use will be shared with local foodbanks and other rescues to help as many animals in need as possible.
