It is Volunteers’ Week! The annual nationwide event provides an excellent opportunity for us to celebrate the achievements of our amazing volunteers.

Can we inspire you to join our retail volunteer team?
Our amazing retail volunteers are the beating heart of our shop and eCommerce operations. Day in, day out, each brings their own unique skills, interests and experience to the team, directly contributing to the wellbeing of the cats and dogs in our care. Our shop volunteers support our staff to create beautiful, inviting spaces, where customers feel welcome to browse our selection at their own pace, chat about their day and show off their bargains!
Our volunteers are treasure seekers - sorting donations and finding quirky ways to display them for sale. They dress windows, steam clothing, welcome customers, take pride in cleanliness, customer service and high-quality stock, not to mention being very handy with the dog treats and super keen on the cuddles!
All our retail volunteers contribute directly or indirectly to supporting our cause through their hard work in shops, in our office and on our van. They distribute stock, competently handle the maintenance issues constantly cropping up, reconcile income, process financial data and Gift Aid, photograph, list & store stock for eBay, PAT test electricals and keep us all wonderfully entertained with their positive attitude and friendly natures.
To us, they are everything! Thank you to all the volunteers who support our retail work, in the shops, on the van and behind the scenes in the office.
