Pet food at food banks

Did you know that emergency food parcels can help your pet too?

Food banks aren't just for human food. If you need short-term help with pet food, a food bank can offer food parcels for those emergency times – whether it's a benefit delay, an unexpected bill or redundancy.

You'll need to be referred by a professional such as a school, social worker, doctor, community adviser, local council services or Citizens Advice Centre. Each area has its own system, so please check their website.

Bath Foodbank

We have a regular partnership to provide cat and dog food to Bath Foodbank, which offers 3-day emergency packages.

You'll need to be given a voucher to use – find out where to get one on their website.

Fair Frome Food Bank

We've just started working with Fair Frome, which provides 6-day emergency parcels. Please speak to them about including pet food in your parcel if you need it.

You'll need to be referred to use the Food Bank – find out where to get a referral on their website.

Find a food bank near you

We're hoping to extend our assistance throughout our area, but for now, if these food banks do not cover where you live please still ask your local professional services as they might have some advice and other contacts.

The national RSPCA also have a list of food banks that offer pet food.
