Kittens

If you would like to home a kitten, we ask that you are not going on holiday in the next few months and for younger kittens are home most of the day or for older kittens (5 months +) that you can manage their lunch feeds - so if you are working you can pop back at lunch time or get someone to do so for you.

We like our kittens to be homed as a pair, or to a home with cats already. This is especially important with nervous cats or if you work full-time. We do have some that can be homed by themselves as well - please speak to our animal care staff.

For a cat we request a donation of £65 - this includes neutering (if you take a very young kitten you bring them in at 12 weeks for the operation), micro-chipping, flea and worm treatment and their vaccinations to date. Once you add up all the medical extras it is very good value for money.

Choosing your kitten

When choosing your kitten please listen carefully to our animal carers. Even at a young age we can see their temperament and have the experience to understand what kind of home they will be happy in.

If a kitten you like isn't suitable for your home then we will do our best to find you a kitten right for you that you can fall in love with! As our kitten numbers increase in the spring and summer, we have mums and kittens placed in foster homes so we will arrange a viewing with those you are interested in.

Why not beat the queue and fill in a cat application form before coming in (downloadable below), or fill one in at the reception desk. You can then view our current kittens at the Home. If you find one you like with us or in foster, you can reserve them and arrange a home visit. If not, you can organise a home visit so you are ready when you do find the one for you.

Adult cats have just as much love to give and can be just as playful, why not take a look at our current cats?

If you have the time and space, why not try kitten fostering?
