Neutering scheme

If you are on a lower income and live in our catchment area, then we may be able to provide neutering for your pet at a cost price.

To be eligible you must be in receipt of Universal Credit. You must also live in our catchment area, which is within the postcodes BA1, BA2, BA15 and SN13. We also can cover some addresses within BA3, BA4, SN12 and SN14.

Your pet will be operated on in the Vet Suite at Bath Cats and Dogs Home, by a vet and nursing team from Bath Vets. The experienced team handle several neuters every day for the Home. There is a separate recovery room which is manned by our Animal Care team, so they will receive the best care.

This is what it will cost you – this covers the basics such as general anaesthesia and pain medication as they recover. Neither Bath Vets nor the Home will profit from the operation. At a standard vets, a female dog spay would cost about £230.
