Dot is a very sensitive girl. It takes her a while to trust new people, but once she does, she bonds strongly and her true character shines – deep down she is an affectionate girl that loves cuddles and belly rubs! Her new owners will need to visit the Home several times to build that bond with her before adoption.

In the home, Dot will need someone around for most of the day. She struggles in her kennel and loves to be around those she knows well, so she is likely to need any time left alone to be built up gradually. She would benefit from a structured routine to help her settle into home life. Due to her worries around new people, Dot will need a home without too many visitors, and will need to be kept in a separate room if anyone visits that she doesn’t know.

Dot doesn’t seem used to walking on lead and can be erratic and strong. She doesn’t cope well seeing people or dogs, and so will need walks in quiet areas where she can relax and enjoy her outdoor time. She would benefit from hired secure paddocks, where she can enjoy off lead playtime, and will need her own private, secure garden.

Soft toys are Dot’s favourites – she loves to play with you but can be clumsy when overexcited. She can be worried by fast movements, so will need playtime to be built up gradually.

Dot will make a wonderful companion in the right home. She must be the only pet in an adult only home.
