CJ is a clever boy who needs a positive-training minded home where he can learn that the world is not so scary.

He is very affectionate once he has built a strong bond with you and will lean in and paw you for more fuss. It does take some time to gain his trust and he is slightly more wary of men, so he will need multiple visits at the Home before being adopted. He is worried by new people so needs a quiet and understanding home with minimal visitors, where he can gain confidence in his own time.

CJ loves his walks but does need space away from people and other dogs as he is so worried by them. He will also need to be muzzled and kept on a lead while away from home but would enjoy some off-lead time in a secure dog-field. CJ also loves toys and while he will initiate play with you, he will also play with soft toys by himself.

CJ can live with adults only and no other dogs but may potentially be able to live with a confident cat if introduced carefully. Given lots of patience and love in his forever home, he will become a fantastic companion.
