All about Bath Cats & Dogs Home

Way back in 1937 lots of small animal rescue shelters joined together to make this one large rescue charity - to help all the animals in need of Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset.

Here is one of our founders Mrs Begg in 1939 with her dog, called Barry.

Barry is saying
        - Nice hat mum!

We have grown bigger over the years and now have space to look after about

Last year, we helped 1,086 animals who were unwanted or lost get adopted to a new home - that is about 3 adoptions every day.

Although we ask for a donation when an animal is adopted, we need much more money than that to keep open. So we ask for help from volunteers and fundraisers.

work for us but they do not get paid. You have to be 18 years old to volunteer with us by yourself.

do something difficult or fun and get sponsorship money in return that they give to us. You can do this at any age!
