Retail Operations Manager

We are looking for a Retail Operations Manager to lead our team of retail and ecommerce staff and volunteers and to champion a sales-driven, results-orientated, people-focused business culture across our sales channels.

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for implementing and engaging staff in the delivery of the agreed trading strategy, driving innovation and continuous improvement across sales channels and ensuring that each function achieves its objectives and is fit for the future.

This is a fabulous opportunity to manage the day-to-day of our existing portfolio of charity shops  and our mail-order programme as well as to develop the trading business to take it successfully into the future. You will be working within our income generation team alongside Fundraising colleagues joining up trading initiatives with staff, supporters and volunteers to help maximise our offering and customer base whilst ensuring exceptional customer service to all audiences.

About you

You will have retail and mail-order experience, ideally at branch management level, and be familiar and comfortable with a target driven environment built upon a foundation of continuous improvement.  You will be IT literate, data driven, and have experience of MS Office, EPOS systems and sales reports.

Self-motivated, you have an aptitude for motivating and supporting others to achieve their targets whilst ensuring that the business remains focused on positive return and that a high level of customer service is achieved through all the Home’s trading touchpoints.

A knowledge and understanding of the charity retail sector is desirable but not essential.  This role requires travel to local areas and therefore a full driving licence and car are essential.

This is a varied, rewarding and challenging role and if you have a passion and enthusiasm for the work that we do at Bath Cats and Dogs Home and would like to join a caring and worthwhile charity we would love to hear from you.
