Kitten and cat fostering

We are looking for short-term kitten fosterers to look after mother cats and kittens in a home environment so they are socialised at this early stage of their development.  The fostering period will be for 7 - 8 weeks.

You will need:
     a secure spare room
     to be at home for most of the day
     to have transport to collect supplies and for trips to the vet

Volunteers to help outside

We are very lucky to have a lot of space and green areas, but this means that the grounds need a lot of attention, especially in the spring and summer.  We always need volunteers to help with grass strimming and pruning hedges.  If you can spare some time, you will be helping us and getting fit at the same time!

Home Visitors needed

Our home visitor volunteers carry out a vital part of our adoption process by visiting the homes of potential adopters to ensure their suitability for an animal and revisit homes to ensure that the adoption has been a success.

We urgently need more volunteers for the following areas:

Bristol - all areas
Calne
Chippenham
Warminster
Westbury

Bath Cats & Dogs Home Mascot

We would love to hear from anyone who would be willing to dress up for charity and help to raise money for the Home!  Our mascot, Claverton the dog, is in popular demand to attend fundraising events in our region raising vital funds for the Home.

Volunteer Driver

Volunteer drivers are needed to help collect animals (mainly chickens) and for other ad hoc jobs such as picking up large donations.  You will be using the Home's transit van.

You will need to be a confident driver and have a full, clean UK driving licence.  Some lifting will be required.

Volunteer Collections Organiser

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to manage our volunteers at our Bath street collections. You will be looking after our volunteers - signing them in and giving them their tabard and collecting tin.

This is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and help us raise valuable funds.  You will need to be a car driver and free at weekends.  The commitment needed is approximately one day per month.

Volunteers to help with collections

This year we have a number of collection dates at supermarkets in Bradford-on-Avon, Chippenham, Frome, Melksham, Paulton, Trowbridge and monthly street collections in Bath city centre.   But we need lots of volunteers to help!   Our volunteers collect for between 1 - 2 hours, the time does go by quickly as people will stop to tell you stories about the pets they have adopted from the Home!
