Fizz

When Fizz first arrived she was extremely nervous and took a long time to settle in. Since getting used to kennel life Fizz has developed a strong bond with her regular carers however she is still very nervous about meeting new people.

With her carers she is boisterous and playful. She walks well on a harness but does tend to lunge at traffic and small animals, she will need further training in this area. She is not destructive and is happy to be left for short periods.

Fizz is a very intelligent dog, knowing lots of her basic commands (sit, stay, paw, down) however she can sometimes be a bit on the stubborn side. She is hugely food-orientated so further training should not be too difficult. She is very possesive over food and chews or bones.

She will need to be homed as the only dog as she is terririfed of other dogs and will require further ongoing socialisation with them. She will need a home without any other animals, where there are adults only and no visitors.

Anyone potentially interested in adopting Fizz will need to come in and speak to her carer in the first instance. It will be a very lengthy adoption process - it could take several months - to get to know her before she can go to a home. Adopters will need to live locally as she will require regular sessions with our behaviourist and continual assessment.
