22/06/2010 - Shout Out! Family Open Day - Sun. 5/9

Staff at the animal charity are gearing up for their annual Family Open Day, the Home’s largest fundraising event of the year, which this year takes place on Sunday 5 September. Can anyone help with the following, please?

 

STALLS

We would be delighted with any donations of bottles/jars for the bottle stall; crockery for the crockery smashing stall;

Bric-a-brac and books and quality items for the auction and raffle

Please bring any articles to the Home from August 1

 

VAN

Can anyone lend a van from Thursday 2 – Monday 6 September to move heavy goods around the site? Please call Sarah Thorn on: 01225 780259

 

VOLUNTEERS

We urgently need volunteers to help prepare the site for the day i.e. grass cutting; putting up gazebos; driving the van around site; helping on the day and clearing up on the Monday post event.  Please ring Sue on 01225 787335

 

FELINE FIESTA

Ellie Burgess is running a soft toy tombola and this year the theme is cats – both domestic and wild.  If you have any good quality soft toys (cats, lions, tigers, pumas, cartoon characters etc) that you can donate, please leave them at the Home (labelled for Ellie Burgess) or call us on 01225 314274 to arrange collection.
