24/08/2011 - Open Day ticket winners revealed!

One lucky family, the Finches, from Corsham, are really excited about their win. Karen Finch comments: “I cannot believe I have won a family ticket to Open Day! I have never been lucky in the past when entering draws, so I’m as pleased as punch! I will be bringing our three daughters Lauren, Hermione and Imogen and our dog Patch, as well. We have been to Open Day before and were planning on coming again this year, so it’s a bonus we have won a family ticket. We have re-homed some lovely animals from rescue centres in the past, including dogs and rabbits, rather than buying animals from breeders, since we think it’s important to support re-homing centres – they do such a fantastic job. We are looking forward to Bath Cats and Dogs Home’s big event on Sunday.”

The ten families, from the local area, will be able to enjoy fast-track entry to the Open Day, our largest fundraising event the year. An action packed day of fun and entertainment for the whole family will include a larger Kids’ Zone with inflatables, a pet corner; a magician; face painting, amongst other activities to keep younger visitors entertained. Market stalls, dog and agility shows;a working dog display; dancing with dogs and games for dogs; an auction; pig rolls, a barbeque, licensed bar and live music from the Lurchers are just a few attractions, which should make for a great day out.
