Claire’s fundraising arctic trip

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

At last we have heard from our intrepid explorer! Claire Harwood, one of our animal care managers here at The Home, is currently off braving the extreme terrain and cold weather – whilst raising vital funds for the Home on our Husky Challenge. She still needs £300 to reach her target so please dig deep and click on the following link to help her get there!
Here is what Claire said in her first communication with us since she departed in the early hours of Sunday morning, ‘Hello from Sweden! Crossed the border yesterday. Dogs called Tobias, Jet, Ulv, Venus, Unseth, & Chitna. Really hard work. Had a great big snow storm and one of our guides fell through the snow and has been taken to hospital. Say hi to everyone from me. Love Claire x’
If Claire’s efforts have inspired you to take up one of our challenges then click on to our website to have a look at trips currently available – we will be adding some exciting new trips to our challenge event programme so do keep an eye out!

Bark in the Park

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Bark in the Park at Alice Park in Bath was a lot of fun this year. Thank you to Tony Hickman for organising such a great day and raising over £300 for the Home.

Here are some pictures of the day, taken by volunteer Jan Clare.

Cat Cuddle-a-thon enjoyed by all!

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Cat mania hit the Bath Cats and Dogs Home again on Saturday 1st May as cat lovers got up close and personal with some of the friendly felines as part of National RSPCA Week.

We held a sponsored Cat Cuddle-a-thon, which involved members of the public volunteering to be locked into one of the cat pods for five hours with only a furry feline friend to spend quality time with for company.

Thank you to everyone who got involved – it was a really fun day.

Wag walkers

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Our doggie walking supporters took to the Bath Skyline in support of the Home on Sunday 25 April – our photographers papped a few of you, can you spot anyone you know?

With thanks to Mike Thornberry of Mike Thornberry Photography and Jonathan Cleaver of 360 Media Studio.
