A lovely letter from Suki and Stella-telling us how they are getting on.
Hello, this is Stella,
Suki & I wanted to drop you a line to say thank you to everyone at BCDH, (especially Kirsty) for looking after us when we stayed with you and a huge thanks for finding us our new Mum & Dad, we thought you might like to hear how we are getting on in our new home so here are a few updates-
For the first week Mum & Dad cooked us boiled chicken and rice to eat as we were too nervous to eat anything else, we tried to persuade them that whatever they were eating was also fine for us but they said that human food really isn’t good for us. We are now happily eating Ceasar, Suki really prefers the ones that come in the gold foil trays but will eat the pouches if there is nothing else! I also snack on my new brother Harvey’s biscuits too.
As well as a new brother Harvey we have a sister Tia, she is what they call a cat?! I find her really fascinating and can sit for ages looking at her, mum and dad are teaching me that it’s ok to look but that I mustn’t run after her or try to play with her, so I am gradually getting bored staring at her and tend to lie down for a little nap on our beds after a while.
We’ve been out for some lovely walks around the woods and canals, I was a bit unsure of meeting other dogs at first but soon realised that it’s fun to make friends so am now not as excitable. Suki and Harvey are allowed off the leads to run around but I have to stay on my extendable lead as Mum and Dad say I am too scatty and mad to be let off just yet, in case I get lost!
Suki and I have been a little grouchy with each other the last week or so, mum says its to be expected as we are both in season (whatever that is? but mum and dad seem to be very busy with a mop!), when mum left the room dad said unexplained grouchiness was to be expected as we are women! .. I wonder what he means !!?
Yesterday we spent the morning at a dog spa, we both had a hair wash and I had a bit of a hair cut, Mum & Dad thought you might like to see a picture of us now we have had a bit of pampering (thought I do look a little serious !)
Ah well, my paws are getting tired and Mum wants her PC back, so that’s all for now
Stella & Suki
Thank you for your lovely news-love from all at B.C.D.H.!
